An inaugural Derbyshire Dinner is planned on Thursday 16th September at Hassop Hall Hotel near Bakewell. This will follow the pattern of the West Country and Scottish Dinners. The room used has been the venue for the dinners of the Cressbrook and Litton Flyfishers Club and the standard of the hotel’s food and service has always been very high. There is space for up to 50 members and guests and the charge will be around £60 per head. Fishing will be organised locally the following day. Derbyshire has a rich history of flyfishing and this should be a new and enjoyable event. Details will be sent out in May but all those interested should contact Dr John Smith or David Marriott.
