The first Winter Talk was given by Mr Tarquin Millington-Drake who presented an interesting account of his contrasting fishing experiences in Russia, Iceland and Norway. The talk included fascinating footage of him battling with and landing a huge salmon in Norway. Our thanks to Tarquin for a illuminating insight into such wonderful fishing.
For the next one on Wednesday 23rd February, Mr Morten Harangen will give an illustrated talk on ‘19th Century Salmon Anglers and their adventures on Norwegian Rivers’ The third Winter event takes place on Wednesday 23rd March and will be given by Mr Christopher Knowles on ‘A quaint history of Derbyshire flyfishing’. Places are still available.
