2012 Annual Dinner

Just a reminder that the Club’s Annual Dinner is approaching fast. It will be held on Thursday 8th November at the Savoy.

This is a fabulous evening and I encourage you to attend. The charge of £110 includes drinks beforehand, dinner with wines, port and brandy. Payment may be by cheque or BACS. Dress: Black Tie, 6.45pm for 7.30pm. The formal part of the evening should finish by 10.30pm.

Our Guest of Honour is The Rt. Hon Sir Jeremy Hanley, KCMG. Sir Jeremy was a Government Minster for over 7 years and his posts included: Cabinet Minister without Portfolio whilst Chairman of the Conservative Party; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (responsible for Hong Kong and the Middle East); Minister of State for the Armed Forces at the Ministry of Defence and Under-Secretary of State for Northern Ireland as Minister for Health & Social Services; and Minister for Agriculture and for Education and Political Development. He now serves on the Boards and Audit Committees of a number of quoted and unquoted companies. He will talk on “James Hacker, Myth or Reality?”

There is still time to apply for tickets, either for yourself or to make up a table (8-12 people). I will put 1,2,3,4s together.

If you have applied, and sent your cheque then you should have received your tickets – please let me know if you haven’t had them yet.

If you have not yet let me have the names of your guest/s please do so by the beginning of next week (23rd October). I need time to compile the table plan and time for it to be printed.

The menu this year is:

***

Slow roasted pork chop, green apple choucroute, mashed potatoes and grain mustard mushroom sauce
