Annual Dinner – Thursday 7th November 2013

The 117th ANNUAL DINNER (the 79th at the Savoy) will be held on Thursday 7th November 2013, at 6.45pm for 7.30pm in the Lancaster Room of the Savoy Hotel (Embankment Entrance).
THE PRESIDENT, David Donnelly, will occupy the chair.
THE GUEST OF HONOUR will be The Lord Marland of Odstock. Jonathan Marland is the Prime Minister’s trade envoy. He has been a minister in the department of energy and climate change and the department of business. He was treasurer of the Conservative Party and was one of the principals running Boris Johnson’s first mayoral campaign. He was one of the founders of Jardine Lloyd Thompson and led the acquisition of several businesses including Hunter Boots and Wisden Cricketer and, in his own words, he is “a keen shot and dreadful fisherman”.

Individual tables can be provided for 8, 10 or 12 persons for Members wanting their own tables. Members not having their own tables will be seated at tables for eight with their guests. If you have any particular preference to sit with another Member, please state the fact when applying for seats. Members’ wishes will be met wherever practical. Ladies most welcome.
Tickets for the Dinner, which will be inclusive of wine before and during the dinner, port and VAT will be £118 each. This year the Reception wine will be included in the ticket price (other drinks will be on a cash basis). Those Members who plan to bring a full table can opt to have a separate hosted bar in the main reception area.
